Blessed Mother

mom and childCoos and cries are distant memory;

Alphabet and arithmetic are lessons from days gone by;

Our little bitties are teens and twenties; how time has flown.

If you ask them, they’ll do just as Solomon said they would … “Her children rise up and call her blessed” (Proverbs 31:28).

Your prayers, precious and countless, fill golden bowls with incense before the God who hears (Revelation 5:8).

Your presence serves as a sure source of assurance and comfort.

Wise words from the Ancient of Days so season your speech that our children have learned to trust the One who loves them more than either of us ever could.

I am doubly blessed to have you as my wife and as mother to our little tribe.

I pray on this day of celebration you will know the breadth and length and height and depth of Christ’s love for you (Ephesians 3:14-19).
